He was striking in a cold-blooded kind of way, like his beauty was tinged with poison. Unassuming, alluring even.
I brought my eyes up to meet his.
“Fia Riftborne?” The words dripped from his lips like blood from a dagger.
Twenty years after the uprising that rendered her home a wasteland, Fia Riftborne navigates life in Luminaria from the shadows, having learned three important lessons: keep your head down, don’t draw attention to yourself, and avoid the Sidhe Guard like the plague. Her rebellion branding makes this a difficult task, given that the city’s elite still cling to prejudice with a white-knuckled grip. And crimes against the Riftborne go unpunished.
But Fia hides an even darker truth, one that threatens to destroy her small semblance of the life she’s built. Her mind-splitting focus is growing stronger by the minute, and no matter how desperately she tries to keep it buried, the power within her is winning the battle for control.
Enter Laryk Ashford, the elusive Sidhe General. Whispers follow him as he builds a special unit of wielders within the Guard, recruiting those with powerful focuses to fight in the war against a mysterious new enemy. Wraiths of darkness are infiltrating the Western Border, leaving hundreds dead in their wake. And it’s only a matter of time before they devour the entire Isle.
When a simple errand turns awry, Fia's focus unleashes itself in an explosive torrent, and two noble daughters are seemingly dead. General Ashford is the sole witness to Fia’s devastation, and they both know what the consequence should be: death.
But could she be the key to their survival? Instead of execution, she receives a chilling offer to join the Guard.
Fia faces an impossible choice: surrender to the chaos within and risk destroying everything she holds dear or become a weapon in the hands of those who took everything from her. Even if she finds purpose among the ranks, the weight of her heritage and growing feelings for the General might just consume her.
The deeper Fia delves into the world of the Aossi Elite, the more a buried truth claws its way free. This unearthed secret could unravel everything she's built, forcing her to confront a past she desperately wants to outrun.

Fueled by late-night Dungeons & Dragons sessions and a shared love for the romantasy genre, Bree Grenwich and Parker Lennox spiraled with ideas and happened upon a story they had to tell. One Google Meet call and a surge of creative energy later, Riftborne, their debut novel, was born.
A year after that fateful brainstorming session, their creation is ready to be unleashed on the world. Riftborne isn't just a love letter to epic fantasy and swoon-worthy romance; it celebrates the power of female bonds that push the boundaries of adventure.
Coming fall of 2024.
Bree Grenwich and Parker Lennox are two platonic soulmates who have been nearly inseparable since meeting at 19. Their shared love of fantasy, badass heroines, and steamy romances fueled their dream of co-authoring a novel, which they've finally achieved with their debut, Riftborne. When they're not conjuring worlds filled with female empowerment and swoon-worthy relationships, they’re binge-watching reality TV or obsessing over the last Dungeons and Dragons session.
Bree enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, who she claims is indeed a man written by a woman. A true Pisces, Bree finds solace in weekends by the sea or lake, engrossed in a book with music drowning out the world. She also holds a fascination with the paranormal and all things witchy, a love that undeniably creeps into her writing.
Parker, on the other hand, splits her time between the Southern US and the beautiful wine-country of Bordeaux, France, where she visits her boyfriend (living proof that romance novels can mirror reality!). An artist at heart, Parker expresses her creativity through graphic design, photography, and delectable culinary adventures, always with a sourdough starter bubbling away in the background.
Together, they weave addictive Romantasy novels for the New Adult audience.
